Musho joined the Village Zendo in 2007. He received Jukai in 2008 and was Shuso in 2013. He was Executive Director for two years, until moving to Catskill NY in 2016. He continued his koan study remotely with Joshin Roshi and Village Zendo teachers.
During his time in New York City, Musho practiced daily at the Zendo on Broadway and organized many events and activities. He is a visual artist and musician and continues to make artwork for the Zendo’s advertising and programs, as well as posting the recorded talks. In 2017 he opened The Catskill Zen Circle offering Zazen and a monthly Dharma talk. Musho was given Dharma transmission by Roshi Joshin O’Hara in 2024, and empowerment as a Zen sensei in 2026.
