Jisei began practice with the Village Zendo in 2007. She received the precepts and dharma name, Doji, from Roshi Enkyo O’Hara in August 2010. In October 2016 she was ordained as a Soto Zen Priest and given the dharma name, Jisei. She served as Shuso for Summer Ango 2017. Jisei was empowered as a Dharma Holder (Hoshi) and Osho by Ryotan Eiger Roshi in July 2026.
Jisei lives in Vermont. She is a retired Hospice Chaplain. She continues her work as a volunteer providing support to hospitalized patients and those in the community on Hospice.
