Introduction to the Interdependence Prison Project
| January 11, 2011 | ||
| 7:30 pm | to | 8:30 pm |
The Interdependence Prison Project combines policy and advocacy practice with direct service and contemplative practice. IDPP members are interested in reforming aspects of prison policy, such as restoring access to education to those incarcerated, and in working directly with those impacted by the criminal justice system, through a partnership with College Initiative, a non-profit reentry education program, and a correspondence program that matches IDPP members with practicing meditators who are incarcerated. IDPP members adhere to the evolving principles of integral activism which attempt to integrate inner change and social change work.
Join us for a free introductory session at the Village Zendo on January 11th at 7:30pm to learn how you can get involved.
