Jukai Ceremony / Grail House

Jukai means ‘to receive the precepts’ and is a rite of passage for lay students who consider Zen practice an integral part of their lives and who wish to live in accord with the Zen precepts handed down over the generations from teacher to student. It is also a major ceremony which brings together the Village Zendo community.
