A Traditional Buddhist Ceremony of Atonement and Purification.
Followed by Sangha Tea
Fusatsu is an ancient Buddhist chanting and bowing ceremony of atonement and purification that provides us with the opportunity to acknowledge our deep karmic entanglements. Abbot Enkyo O’Hara Roshi also gives a talk on one of the Bodhisattva precepts.
5:30 – 6:05 zazen
6:05 – 6:15 kinhin
6:15 – 7:00 Fusatsu ceremony
followed by sangha tea which ends between 7:30 and 8:00
Fusatsu is preceded by one 30-minute period of zazen. Practitioners are encouraged to attend the period of zazen preceding Fusatsu.
Sangha Tea is an informal time to meet other sangha members and teachers. Light refreshments are served.
